About this submission

In a city where confession booths are replaced by public toilets, a young man’s faith and guilt are put to the test as he tries to flush away a single bite of sin at CC 786.

This film was born out of the absurdity of how guilt and faith test us. The idea of a toilet as a confessional felt natural: it’s democratic, awkward, and honest. No one leaves a washroom without confronting themselves in some way.

With a satirical lens, I wanted to have fun at how religion, rituals, and morality get reduced to mechanical actions like flushing, forgetting and then repeating.
