It's my own relationship with attraction, romance and obsession that made me want to make CARNAL. My incapacity to deal and engage with these concepts and the feeling of thinking you're invisible to others are reflected directly in the film through the lens of a reserved and quiet photographer who creates a fantasy in her own head of a man she barely knows. I wanted to show the destructive nature that these feelings can grow into if they're left unchecked for too long. I wanted to imagine how far one could go to get someone's attention.
