I want to tell this story because at the time when I made the film, I was confused about the nature of long-distance relationship that I was in. I came from China to a college in United States and was in my second year. However, the two years time did not eliminate a sense of estrangement deeply rooted in my heart. I sensed the synergy of these two feelings and wanted to make the film to express and hopefully understand them in an intuitive way.
