I grew up visiting my mother’s family in southern Nepal, a place with few houses and no children my age. It was some time in 2005-2006, I went there to find a settlement of almost a dozen families right beside my uncle’s house. In one of those families was a kid, same age as me, and we became very good friends. The next time I went, I found out that they were forcibly displaced after a conflict with the locals. This film questions why, even after fifteen years, failure in management and leadership is still addressed through displacement and force.
