BUTTER is a portrait of a conservative online influencer who leads an unhappy and spiritually-devoid life. She films a screed complaining about queer people online, but her heart just isn't in it. She then consumes her meal while watching gorillas copulate. As a practitioner of the infamous 'Carnivore Diet,' her meal consists of just a stick of butter. She then hallucinates a memory of receiving an award, which is then undercut by the emptiness of her current state. The internet is in color, but the rest is monochrome. The internet has become more real than her real life.
