Arden Street is a story that conflates the transitory nature of youth with how female friendships support each other amidst trouble. It was inspired by Richard Linklater in terms of the dialogue and large ensemble cast as well as more recent inspirations such as Euphoria. I wanted to tell this story because of the women in my own life who inspired me. It is a short film that took a few years to complete; this made me even more determined to tell this story particularly as it became increasingly nostalgic subject matter for me.
