An Taibhse (The Ghost) is the first ever Irish language horror film, executive produced by six time Oscar nominee Jim Sheridan. Set in post famine Ireland, it follows a father and daughter who accept a winter job caretaking a remote mansion. As storms close in, they are cut off from the outside world and something inside the house begins to tighten its grip, pushing them toward paranoia and madness. The film has been critically acclaimed and award winning, and has premiered at prestigious festivals including FrightFest, the Newport Beach Film Festival, and the Vancouver International Film Festival.
