About this submission
In 2008, my mother bought me a pair of shoes a couple sizes too big so that they would fit me in ten years time. They've come to represent something far greater than the steps I've taken in that time.

Prasanna Sellathurai is an award winning filmmaker and physics graduate from the South East of England. Prasanna's one minute film, "Falling", won first place in ScreenSpace's "Change Our Minds In 2 Minutes" competition. It also screened at several film festivals around the world including 60SIFF which screened "Falling" at the BFI Southbank. As a student filmmaker, Prasanna made seven short films. Two of these films won Durham Student Film Society's annual script funding scheme and the most recent film was screened at a private film event Prasanna organised. He is always trying to learn about film: Prasanna has undertaken an internship at Film 4 Productions and has volunteered for the Sundance Institute. more...
