In Advisor Studio sessions, Sundance Collab Advisors share field experiences and insights into their specific areas of craft, including writing, directing, documentary filmmaking, and producing for film and TV.

Independent creators and producers must quickly learn to be nimble in the ever-changing entertainment industry. Mandates and priorities shift, and trends come and go with the seasons. How do you find a seat at the table? What if no table completely aligns with your values? Making an impact in Hollywood can be daunting, and when creating your own production company, a clear mission statement is paramount.

That’s exactly what Sundance veteran producer Daniela Taplin Lundberg (Nanny; Together, Together; Honey Boy) did when she founded Stay Gold Features: a woman-run production and financing company that elevates the voices of marginalized creatives. In conjunction with her podcast Hollywood Gold, which celebrates the work that goes into making some of Hollywood’s most iconic films, Lundberg sets out to share as much knowledge as she can with up-and-coming filmmakers.

In this one-hour session, Daniela will share more about what it takes to be a successful producer, running a production company, creating a podcast, and how one can use a cross-platform approach to build their community.
