I'm fascinated by the ways that we use fantasy and fandom to both hide from reality and the pressures of the real world, but also how sometimes these fantasy worlds can provide us strength to face what we are so scared of. I was also inspired by a class I took called "Adventures in Medieval Romance", and the stories of Knight Errantry we read about. I thought the setting of a Vermont winter would also be a lovely way to celebrate the beautiful place I have been lucky enough to live in for the last few years.
