As I was preparing to graduate high school and thinking about the impending goodbyes that going to college entailed, I was pondering a lot on the different kinds of circumstances that cause people to part. Simultaneously, I was grappling with my sexuality in a way I never had before, and wanted to combine these two things that were weighing on my mind so heavily. A Forever Goodbye is a story about queer love, but it's also an abstraction of the concept of saying goodbye without the promise of seeing the other person ever again.
