I applied to the SBIFF 10-10-10 competition as a director, attracted by the challenge of making a film that I hadn't written, using limited tools (an iPhone) and tackling a subject that intimidated me: AI. It allowed me to test my ability to express a clear point of view through directing, editing, and sound. As the theme addresses a timely subject, it was a tricky one to tackle. With AI becoming increasingly prevalent in all sectors, I felt it was essential to focus the story on human responsibility and the choices we make about its place in our world.
Born and raised in Normandy, France, I have some experience writing, producing and directing short films in Canada, France and the USA. My goal is to contribute to the film and performing arts landscape through collaboration between North America and other continents, by creating and distributing stories that resonate with audiences and help them understand themselves, in the same way that I am becoming a better human being thanks to works that speak to me. more...
