Hannah Benavides is a junior at the University of Texas at Austin, majoring in Radio, Television,
and Film with a certificate in Fiction Creative Writing. She was raised in Los Angeles,
California, where her father, originally from Brownsville, Texas, brought the family so he could
pursue a career in film production. She lived there until she was thirteen, and then moved back to
where her roots and family are, San Benito, Texas. She has been inspired by her father to
continue pursuing what she loves in his honor. After finding fun in making movie trailers and
short films in elementary school, she has continued making films since. Writing authentic and
truly human stories is her continuing goal in every piece of art she creates
