Shaula Evans is an award-winning indie filmmaker. She is the writer and producer of The Ascension of Ava Delaine, a five-minute short film shot completely on drone in a single continuous take with one actor and four real-time quick changes on a four-story vertical location. She founded the online screenwriting community The Blackboard (2012-2014) and is a former reader for the Athena Film Festival's Athena List (2014-15), a selections jurist for the 2018 Bluestocking Film Series, and an Associate Programmer for Fem.Cine.Anarchy 2019. After living in Canada, France, Japan and South Korea, she currently resides in the United States. She is a passionate advocate and supporter of underrepresented filmmakers.
