Ryan Zacarias


Based in Los Angeles, Zacarias’ films include Michael Tully’s SEPTIEN and PING PONG SUMMER, Matt Porterfield’s I USED TO BE DARKER and SOLLERS POINT, Rick Alverson’s ENTERTAINMENT, and Jonas Carpignano’s MEDITERRANEA and A CIAMBRA (Exec Produced by Martin Scorsese). Zacarias recently produced Alverson’s THE MOUNTAIN (Jeff Goldblum, Tye Sheridan) which premiered in competition at Venice 2018 and Sundance 2019 and Kirill Mikhanovsky’s GIVE ME LIBERTY, which premiered at Sundance 2019 and had its international premiere at the Quinzaine des Réalisateurs, Cannes 2019. He also produced Annie Silverstein’s debut feature, BULL, which premiered in Un Certain Regard, Cannes 2019. Zacarias also produced Harmony Korine’s short films, UMSHINI WAM and SNOWBALLS. His films have been supported by Film Independent, Cinereach, the Sundance Institute, Cannes Next Step and Cinefondation, San Francisco Film Society, Doha Film Institute, Cinemart, and the Berlinale Co-Production Market. In 2015, he was nominated for an Independent Spirit Award for MEDITERRANEA, and nominated again for the prestigious Producers Award in 2020.

Recently, Zacarias produced Jonas Carpignano’s A CHIARA, which won the Director’s Fortnight Award at the 2021 Cannes Film Festival and will be released by NEON in the US in early 2022. Zacarias is currently in post-production on Riley Keough/Gina Gammell’s BEAST. He’s a member of the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences.
