Heidi Kindberg

Director, Sustainability at WarnerMedia

Heidi Kindberg is Director, Sustainability at WarnerMedia, responsible for overseeing the HBO Green sustainable production program on all scripted HBO and HBOMax lead shows. As such, she communicates and collaborates with production executives and crew to ensure the success of the program initiatives, manages production carbon tracking and reduction strategies and oversees the implementation of best practices across the slate with the dual end goal to reduce environmental impacts behind the scenes while increasing sustainability awareness on screen. She was named to this position in March 2020.

Prior to joining WarnerMedia, Kindberg served as director, Environmental Sustainability at Sony Pictures. She has continuously and successfully collaborated with industry partners and has been a leading member of the Sustainable Production Alliance for the last decade plus, most recently launching the Sustainable Entertainment Education Series and the Green Film School Alliance under the Green Production Guide banner.

Kindberg also has production experience as a producer, director and production manager. Her first production job after college was on STEP BY STEP, a Miller-Boyett Production for Warner Bros., first working at The Culver Studios and later at Warner Bros. lot. She met her husband while working on this show and together they have two kids, Jackson and Megan, and two dogs, Bones and Buffy.

She has a B.S. in Telecommunications & Film from San Diego State University and a M.A. in Urban Sustainability from Antioch University.
