Tracy Hurley Martin is a veteran entertainment publicist, marketing consultant, music supervisor, short-film producer and co-founder of the Morbid Anatomy Museum in Brooklyn, NY. The three-story museum, open from 2014 – 2017, has been featured in publications as diverse as the New York Times and National Geographic and is credited with no less a feat than rebranding death for the modern era. It was a mecca for the death-positive, curiosities and oddities communities in New York City and has spawned several pop up versions across the US and the world. She joined Reach Media Relations in 1992, an entertainment publicity firm, where she represented such multi-platinum recording artists Prince, George Michael, Depeche Mode, The Cure, Morrissey and many more. At Reach, she was also a media and brand consultant for Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen and their billion-dollar mary-kateandashley retail range of fashion, footwear, accessories, books, albums, toys, videogames and home video. Ms. Hurley Martin has also produced a series of acclaimed short films under her production partnership with her twin sister, New York Times best-selling author and director Tonya Hurley. These titles include “Solo-Me-O,” “Baptism Of Solitude,” “Biblical Real World, “Best FriEND” and “Kiss My Brain.” Her work has been exhibited at the Los Angeles Film Festival, Tribeca and Edinburgh Film Festivals and broadcast on PBS, IFC and Sundance Channel. She lives in Brooklyn, NY with her husband, Vince Clarke, co-founder of Depeche Mode, Yaz and Erasure, and their son Oscar.
