Tess Elliot is an award winning filmmaker and actress based in LA. She wrote, directed and starred in her debut short film It’s Perfect Here which received the Best Narrative Short Award at the Napa Valley Film Festival in 2015 and screened at numerous others. Tess’ films It’s Perfect Here and Take Me Out with the Stars were produced by The Lake Shorts. A co-production between Tess, Hannah Whitney and Maria Wilson where the filmmakers produce three short films in one week, on one location. Tess co-created and starred in the short Happy Vacation with Colby Day, (Blacklist 2017) which premiered on Brokelyn Mag. Her music video for Maybe 25 for recording artist Minke premiered on Harpers Bazaar in August 2018. Tess can be seen in Noor Gharzeddine’s debut feature film Are You Glad I’m Here which premiered at Atlanta FF, won the Audience Award at Brooklyn FF and is still on the festival circuit. She is in development on the feature film adaptation of Take Me Out with the Stars and a series based on Things Break In, a period piece about a lesbian romance between and black woman and white woman on a farm in 1940.
