Stratis Chatzielenoudas

Stratis Chatzielenoudas was born in Athens. Studied drawing, painting and Electrical Engineering in Technological Institute of Larissa .Since 2006 he has been working as an Assistant Director in cinema and television.He has directed documentaries, sport TV shows, music videos and commercials as well as several experimental short films. He is mostly known as film director for the multi nominated short film “Die Young” .His short film ”Athens.Fail.Better.” won “Best Experimental Film Award” at Euroshorts 2014 in Poland . In 2013 he started developing his debut feature film project “Haunted By City Lights” .The project selected by SOURCES2 feature script development workshop in Berlin/2014, BABYLON 2015 feature script development workshop in Vienna/2015 and Cross Channel Film Lab 2015 in UK/France. The project presented at Pack and Pitch/Sarajevo Talents 2015, during Sarajevo Film Festival 2015. He was also selected by IDFA Academy 2016 with the mixed media feature documentary project "2917". He co-founded the Athens based all in house production studio Margot Filmhouse and he acted as the Producer of the short film "Cut Ups", which was presented in 61st Oberhausen International Film Festival. He is the director of the feature documentary "Back to the top" which was presented at DocsBarcelona/Speed Meetings in May 2016 and selected for IDFAcademy 2016 and Docs in Progress at Thessaloniki Documentary Festival 2017. The film premiered at 20th Thessaloniki Documentary Festival and won 2 awards( Audience Award and Hellenic Broadcaster Award for the Best Greek Film)
