Paulina Barros

Paulina was born and raised in Mexico City. After getting her BA in Communication, she studied screenwriting at the Centro de Capacitación Cinematográfica, Mexico’s National Institute of Fine Arts Film School. During 2007-2008 she held a fellowship for Playwriting at the Fundación para las Letras Mexicanas, where she started her carrier in theater. During 2008 she developed and co-wrote Estado de Gracia, a miniseries for television. In September 2010 she moved to New York to pursue her MFA degree in Theatre Arts at Columbia University School of the Arts, she graduated in May 2013. Her plays The Tide, Washing Away and The Comfort of Numbers have had full productions in New York City during 2011. Since 2016 she has been living back in Mexico City, where she makes a living writing for TV. She has written for Televisa, Canal Once, Amazon and Netflix.
