Born in New Orleans, Louisiana Kors currently resides in Los Angeles by way of Atlanta. It was in Georgia where he took a serious interest in filmmaking after he served as an apprentice to a local filmmaker. Later, Kors would receive some serious advice from a filmmaking legend Spike Lee. Spike's advice would push his hunger for filmmaking to the next level. Kors started his company Blue Angel Entertainment and took a leap of faith to Los Angeles where, within less than two months, he received a paid gig to write a script based on the life of singer John Legend. He created a few shorts and had minimal festival success until his action/drama short film, Run Cholo Run, was shown in the Vice & Folly screening in Park City, Utah in 2012. Since then, he has garnered interest from organizations such as Sony/Columbia, Anonymous Content & Fox. As a Writer/Director, Kors was nominated for his short film 'Entropy' in 2012, 168 Film Festival. His film 'LU', starring Nate Parker, which was written, cast and edited in 168 hours for the speed-fest and became a 168 film finalist with 11 nominations including ‘Best Picture’, ‘Best Director’ & ‘Best Screenplay’, winning 4 awards. The short was also an HBO/BET Urbanworld Official Selection. 'LU' also took 1 award in the international One Lens festival and screened at a special Sundance board member event in 2014. He would find a gratifying moment of success after giving script notes and becoming a BTS Producer on the Sundance breakout film 'The Birth of a Nation' by Nate Parker. That film holds the Sundance sales record at $17.5 million acquired by Fox Searchlight Pictures. As a screenwriter/filmmaker, Kors has captured the interest of the “Big 3” agencies, ICM, CAA & WME. As a screenwriter, he has garnered interest from Leonardo DiCaprio’s Appian Way. Kors is currently producing two feature films, one titled 'Underwater' which is set to star 'Avengers' famed actor Antony Mackie and '12' chronicling the murder of Tamir Rice w/ Academy Award Winning actor interest. With the help of his wife and closest producer partner Kimberly Vandiver they are always working towards creating meaningful projects that will have worldwide impact, they both believe their current slate carries those exact kind of projects.
