I am an Editor from Los Angeles, currently based out of Portland, OR. As a filmmaker, I began his career creating websites and music videos for indie and punk bands in the Pacific Northwest. Upon moving to Oakland, I worked as a Camera Operator and Editor for KDOL-TV and graduated from film school at San Francisco State University with honors. My work in the Bay Area was prolific, earning him awards and recognition from organizations like The Annenberg Foundation, The SF Emmys, and American Zoetrope. Currently, I am editing Johnny Symon’s latest short entitled Hoodie and Celine Shimizu’s latest feature entitled The Celine Archive. I am also an Editor for Outside the Frame and The Refugee Center Online, and an Instructor for the NW Film Center. As a 2nd generation-Mestizo Immigrant, my films investigate issues of race, class, sex, immigration, Indigeneity, and generational trauma. My greatest goal is to write and direct feature narrative films about the Latinx Diaspora.
