Based in Oklahoma, born and raised in Montreal, Catherine established herself in New York in the late 90’s as a choreographer leaping towards audio engineering. She relocated in Los Angeles and went on to headline around the world from Qatar to Switzerland to Shanghai under the moniker, DJ SynCity. Her range of client list boasts from Chaka Khan, Vogue Magazine, Justin Timberlake, to Eddie Murphy. She has broken grounds by being the 1st DJ ever to tour with NASCAR. Catherine served as the A&R / Executive Producer, was appointed as the Music Director for New York Fashion Week runway shows, and produced “They Don’t Know (Remix)” Rico Love featuring Pitbull and Ludacris. (Billboard Magazine) Enrolled at UCLA studying Cinematography and Screenwriting under the tutelage of Larry Wilson (Beetlejuice, The Addams Family), Harris Goldberg (Deuce Biggalo), she was one of the handpicked screenwriters for James Franco‘s ‘Evil Days’ Masterclass. Furthermore, she graduated RED Digital Cinema‘s REDUCATION and Blackmagic Design’s DaVinci Resolve 15 Certification. Catherine wrote and directed Weapons and Tactics and Dear Agony. In 2018, her debut Day After Valentine's premiered at the TCL Chinese Theatres, screened in Cannes, and is currently streaming on Amazon Prime Video. A Women In Film member, she was in the Mentoring Program under ABC's Executive VP, Vicki Dummer, Sony/Columbia VP of Production, Lauren Abraham, Writer/Director, Aimee Lagos, and Pretty Bird’s VP Ali Brown. Her trailer for About That Life made the cut as semi-finalist of WIF’s Mini-Upfronts. She helmed a stint at Smart Entertainment (Ted, Family Guy, Anger Management) as an Executive Assistant to Film / TV Producer John Jacobs. She is currently writing a screenplay for Golden Globes winner, Idris Elba.
