Jamie Mayer is a writer/director who has worked in a wide range of formats, including features, television, gaming, and digital. As a feature screenwriter, she has sold spec scripts, been hired to write original material and adaptations, and had feature scripts optioned by 20th Century Fox, Lionsgate, and numerous independent producers. She has also optioned original television pilots to Will Smith’s Overbrook Entertainment and Pearl Transmedia. She was Supervising Producer/Co-Head Writer for A&E/Lifetime's narrative romance platform Fall Into Me, writing two of the project's seven stand-alone series, and co-producing them all.
Jamie recently directed the short film Crowbar Smile for Indigenous Media. It was produced by Jon Avnet, Rodrigo Garcia, Jake Avnet, Carrie LeGrand, & actor Josh Hutcherson (Hunger Games), and released by Condé Nast. Jamie previously workshopped her feature drama script Painless at the Sundance Writers' and Directors' Labs, where she directed Elisabeth Moss, Vincent Kartheiser, and Lisa Edelstein. She subsequently reimagined Painless as a YA novel, which was published by Rare Bird Books in 2017. She has also written choose-your-own-adventure gameplay scripts for several books in the "Choices: Stories You Play" mobile gaming app (iOS store peak: #4 Top Grossing Game), and recently set up and ran a writers' room, developing a new game for Chinese gaming giant Kunlun.
