Charia Rose is a writer and director. An artist from Detroit, Michigan, she firmly believes in art as a means for deep reflection and strives to use it for social change. A self-proclaimed "Midwestern Baddie", she is dedicated to showing the world that, contrary to popular belief, there ARE black and brown people in middle America AND they have amazing, interesting, and multifaceted stories to tell. She currently works at the non-profit talent discovery platform FREE THE WORK, which focuses on uplifting underrepresented creatives across the media industry.
