As its name suggests, Up Country crosses many boundaries. Ex-Royal Marine Dave lives outside on the cliffs overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, a picturesque place. With a pedigree in special forces, the kind the navy seals look up to you might say Dave is built to withstand the ever present rugged conditions yet he is infused with the sensibilities and wise manners of a gentleman accompanied by his beautiful ever present english cocker spaniel.
With a sense of order Dave creates a space for himself outside the confines of the everyday among the sunlight splashing on the surrounding trees. Dave’s supreme adaptability goes deep as he recalls friends that have not fared so well and how he considers himself lucky to be alive in some sense raising the standards for what it means to be at peace with one's present surroundings and ever haunted by his past.
