About this submission
The metaphorical elements in There is a Hole in the Ground make for a timely and important piece. With the current social climate of the world, the hole and the sounds that come from within it represent something vastly different to each viewer. Film as a medium is an extension of our emotions and offers us a vessel for self-reflection. So often during this current pandemic world has it been difficult to self-reflect without anxieties and uncertainty about the future and in a way, this film's intent is to provide a visual form of self-reflection in a therapeutic sense.
