Thanksgiving with Mr. Joseph Joceylyn, the daughter of the Munroe family, invites a dying neighbor, Mr. Joseph, in hopes of being generous for the holidays. Instead, Mr. Joseph has a few secrets he is unwilling to die with.
Yucef Mayes is a Screenwriter/Producer/Director. Yucef is a graduate of The New School of NYC, where he studied prose and short stories. Yucef first film was DRIVER, about an estranged father afforded another opportunity at fatherhood after a family tragedy. DRIVER was an OFFICIAL SELECTION at Reginald Lewis Museum in Baltimore, Hip-Hop Film Festival in Harlem. Yucef Second Film ZAHRA AND THE OIL MAN, premiered at American Black Film Festival in Miami, BlackStar Film Festival in Philadelphia, Martha's Vineyard African-American Film Festival, Color of Conversation FIlm Series in Denver. Yucef was Nominated for Black and Latino Film Awards in NYC for Best Director and Best Screenplay. Tim Reid (WKRP Cincinnatti) introduced ZAOM at African Diaspora Conference and Smithsonian Institute have gave the ZAOM an honorable mention.
