About this submission
After seeing Paul Schrader's First Reformed I was really interested by the loneliness and constant life dilemma of a priest's life. The story was inspired by a tale of my father's drawing when he was in Catholic school in Bordeaux, France, during the 1960's. At a time his professors were priests and he did a caricature of a priest-hunter, coming back from hunt, confused, with an angel in his hand instead of the bird he thought he had shot. I wanted to do a very minimalist and simple character study, like Coppola's first film No Cigar.
