Jeremy Luke Bolatag is a Filipino filmmaker who earned his bachelor's degree in Film at the University of the Philippines and finished as cum laude. He seeks to highlight underrepresented stories through his work, tackling themes of injustice, geopolitics, and diaspora. His short film, Katong Gabii, received international acclaim, including being shortlisted for the 2018 BAFTA Student Film Awards and nominated for Best International Short Film at the 2019 Melbourne Documentary Film Festival. It was among the winners at the 2019 Visual Documentary Project in Japan. Jeremy is an alumnus of Tribeca Film Institute and In Docs’ IF/THEN, One World Media UK’s Global Short Docs Forum, and Film Forum Dokumenter x DocMonde France’s ASIADOC Creative Documentary Workshop. more...
