About this submission

(Password: sundown) Bryce & Mitchell's trip home is disrupted after making a pit stop in a mysteriously unwelcoming town.

Sundown Towns are all-white municipalities or neighborhoods in the US that practice a form of racial segregation by excluding non-whites via some combination of discriminatory local laws, intimidation, and violence.

This film was inspired by my own traumatic experience with racism, homophobia, and police brutality. As a black, gay man, It always seems to feel like you can never win living in a world that constantly uses what you look like and who you love as a deadly weapon against you.
