About this submission

Harmoni is a dark comedy about a Korean father and his millennial daughter who pay a visit to his mother/her grandmother's grave as one does on chuseok, or Korean Thanksgiving. But a phantom habitué disrupts their visit, causing the father to see his daughter in a new light.

Quincy Cho is a writer/performer and the resident black sheep of her conservative, Korean immigrant family. It’s no wonder she found comedy. A graduate of the improv programs at Upright Citizens Brigade Los Angeles (UCBLA) and iO West, Quincy has performed on house teams for both theaters. She was awarded the NBC/Second City Hollywood Bob Curry Fellowship and showcased her work at the 4th Annual LA Diversity Comedy Festival. A cum laude graduate of Boston College, she spent her formative years with her best friends: books and a short-lived imaginary friend. Her current project, The Mama Cho Show, a 7-episode mom-com series, is currently in post-production. Much of her work explores unhealthy relationships, issues with boundaries, trying to fit in, gender roles, social and cultural norms, identity, and breaking expectations, all of which she has zero experience in. You can stalk her on all social media @quincydinosaur and view samples of her professional work on her website: byquincycho.com. When she's not writing and producing, she teaches pole dance and enjoys hanging out with her dog, Maple, and her deaf cat, Noon. more...
