About this submission

Shot entirely before a green screen on an iPhone 6, and inspired by the campy spirit of the Funkadelic song "Good Thoughts, Bad Thoughts," I explore the concept of identity construction, and how what we resist in ourselves eventually manifests in time. The best way to cultivate a sense of self isn't to rigidly uphold an ideal and mold ourselves after it, but to be flexible with our self's many versions. By embracing who we are holistically, we will be better able to hear the call of our inner desire, and pursue what's truest to ourselves from there.
