About this submission
Black soldiers in the U.S. Armed Forces do not have their narrative told from this perspective that involves Black women. Historically, Black soldiers often are on the front lines and were the first to be killed during the battle of a war. This story is important for these two primary reasons. This narrative short-film is related to but not based on the unsung story of the late solder, David Hickman but is entirely created written, directed, produced and shot by Charles Opong.
