‘PINDS OF PUNJAB’ is a 15 min short, independent film. The story is set in present-day rural Punjab. It is a situational crime thriller exploring topics of substance abuse and inter-caste relations. As the story unfolds it explores the hurdles faced, due to them being from different strata of society.
Being a Punjabi Crime Thriller set in a village in India - The genre is among the lesser explored and the unconventional style of storytelling and shooting compliments the overall screenplay. I firmly believe that this has the potential to change the perception of Punjabi cinema as it is viewed.
