About this submission
About the Script:
This submission is an excerpt from the feature film screenplay PERICLES, based on the play by William Shakespeare. In a nutshell, PERICLES tells the story of a runaway prince who discovers how the bonds of love and family supersede the tragedies of accident, betrayal, and even death. Thematically, this project considers the question: Can a life be hopeless, without any prospect of transformation or help? Are we meant to be alone in this world? By the story's end, it should be apparent that life is never hopeless, even when all seems lost. We are never alone, for there are forces in the universe bigger than ourselves, ready to guide us along if we simply acknowledge them.
