About this submission
ONISE is an allegory of the circumstances of Hong Kong during the 2019-20 extradition law protests. Having lived in HK and witnessed its decay, many in the younger generation and I, feel devastated by the inevitable takeover of a dictatorship.

This character-centred story is about an individual who rebels against the tradition and yet corrupted by the tradition in a time of fear.
