About this submission

From the 1980s to 2010s, more than 100,000 children, mostly girls, from China were once abandoned due to the one-child policy because people would have a son preference. A lot of them were adopted by foreign families like the United States.

Hope Christopher is a fifteen-year-old girl living in Ohio. Her family adopted four children from China, including herself.
