About this submission

N’AGBU (“bondage,” in English) is a tale told in the tradition of Igbo folklore. It is narrated by a few voices of the many who have journeyed into the human world from the world of spirits. It is a telling of their adjustments to the new world, and how they came to understand the current state of the physical realm. N’AGBU shows the sensitivities and subtleties inherent to Igbo storytelling traditions that require the listener/viewer to collaborate with the narrator(s) in the creation of the woven narrative.
