About this submission

I Make Good Sounds At Parties is a comedy where our lonely protagonist makes his way through an ordinary party that becomes maddeningly heightened as his anxiety increases. Recently, his long-term girlfriend has dumped him, he’s come out of the closet, and he’s ready to put an overwhelming amount of energy behind his new identity: single, and ready to get everyone to like him. After achieving such a deep intimacy with another person, how do you behave once it's gone? Adrift, lost, and alienated through surface-level conversations, Russell is constantly reminded that he once had something much more profound.
