I am a British-Iranian filmmaker from Newcastle, England. In 2022, I was selected for the 'shortFLIX' scheme by Sky Arts and Creative UK to make my debut funded genre-short "High Tide" for broadcast on Sky Arts and NowTV in 2023. I am interested in telling surreal, intertextual working-class genre stories and find myself deeply inspired by the works of Robert Graves, Leonora Carrington, Jan Švankmajer, Věra Chytilová and Nicolas Roeg.
