About this submission

I reside in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. The murder capital of the country. I told this story to explore and shed light on the reality of the cyclical nature of violence. It doesn't just happen because people are worse than others and want to be violent. It's a systemic issue that takes resources, education, and funding. This is unfortunately not the case in Winnipeg, as police budgets continue to grow. Hopefully, this short film is able to portray the societal shortcomings in regards to violence.
