"Hands" is an experimental short inspired by the Heider and Simmel "Shapes Illusion". The anthropomorphism of hands unfolds a narrative of competition, power antagonizing, sexual oppression and gender. Two hands become the main characters in a spatiotemporal loop where human pain, hybris and gender hegemonies are projected through through hand choreography, sound and motion.
HANDS remains ambiguous in its core while begs questions related to phenomenology and philosophy of mind.
In March 2022, Hands has been selected to be screened at the 2022 edition of the BAMPFA Student Film Festival.
