About this submission

'Every Blade of Grass' is an experimental documentary acting as an interpretation of the Talmudic quote: "Every blade of grass has it's angel that bends over it and whispers 'grow', 'grow'"

The use of fragmented lenses represent varying view points, some distorted and some obscured. These in camera effects come together to display the importance of nature as well as the often unbearable loneliness we feel when we are separated from it. Although this film expresses one particular understanding of the quote, it's experimental nature encourages viewers to place their own meaning on the images however they see fit.
