A once celebrated dog handler holds fast to aspirations that are misaligned with her dog-centered community. Dog-less and obsolete, she embraces an unexpected transformation that's caused by a dog attack, reunites with her dog and converts her anti-dog friend.

Dog is a magical realism short script about friendship, progress, memory and history, especially the ways that dogs have been used and continue to be used to terrorize people of color and create social and spatial boundaries.
