Wednesday, February 12 - 9:00 am - 12:00 pm Pacific Time - Extended first session 

Wednesday, February 19, 26, March 4, 11, 18, 25  - 9:00 am - 11:00 pm Pacific Time - Regular class sessions 

Week of March 30 - April 4 - One-on-one advisor meetings

Learn the steps for crafting your short film from defining your creative vision through production planning and post-production. An accomplished filmmaker will guide this eight-week, Level 1 course which is ideal for writer/directors looking to make their first short fiction film. Sessions include presentation and discussion, interactive exercises, and a guest session with a short film programmer from the Sundance Film Festival. The course concludes with a one-on-one mentoring session focused on your project. 

Application deadline is Wednesday, January 22, 2020 at 12 PM PT. 

Leslie McCleave is a Brooklyn-based filmmaker who works across a variety of media. Most recently, she produced and directed the feature documentary, HOW SWEET THE SOUND - THE BLIND BOYS OF ALABAMA, the first film about this legendary gospel group.
