For my final film school short I challenged myself to do a heavily visual story as my previous work was more dialogue-dependent. I was inspired by the death of my grandfather and the grief that hung over my head like a demonic flower. Everything felt fake and time unreal on the day of his funereal. I intended to exaggerate the protagonist's inner emotions with the use of surreal/campy imagery. Camp also connects to queer-imagery which I hoped to subvert for a more tragic result. This film was an experiment and great learning experience for me.
