About this submission

When COVID first started, I was under the naive notion that everything else was going to pause -- cancer, injustice...

Boy, was I wrong.

When George Floyd's killing happened, it was a sad wake up call that even a global pandemic couldn't erase the stain of US history.

Humanity - especially marginalized communities - continue to deal with COVID, on top of all the other issues that the world plagues us with.

I wanted to explore what our ‘new normal’ could potentially look like if COVID never goes away and how the ‘old normal’ would still play into it all.
